Your first session is an assessment — your psychologist gets to know your background, concerns and goals. From there, a personalised treatment plan is developed with clear goals and evidence-based strategies. Sessions are typically weekly or fortnightly. Treatment length varies: some concerns improve in 6–10 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support.
Our admin team will match you with a psychologist based on your presenting concerns, preferred therapeutic approach and availability. If the match doesn’t feel right, we can arrange a different psychologist — your comfort and trust in your therapist is central to effective treatment.
We accept Medicare (Mental Health Care Plan from your GP), NDIS, WorkCover, TAC, DVA, EAP and private health insurance. Telehealth Medicare bulk billing is available with a current 12-week waitlist. Low-cost appointments are often available sooner — call 1300 224 665 to discuss your options.
If you have an approved WorkCover, NDIS or TAC claim, you do not need to pay anything at all — your sessions are fully covered under your approval.

Do I need a GP referral to see a psychologist?
You do not need a referral to book, but a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP is required to access Medicare rebates. An MHCP provides up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.
How do I know which psychologist is right for me?
Our admin team will match you with a psychologist based on your presenting concerns, preferred approach and availability. If the match isn’t right, we can arrange a different psychologist.
Are individual sessions covered by Medicare?
Yes. With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, individual psychology sessions attract a Medicare rebate. Bulk-billed Telehealth is available with a current 12-week waitlist. Low-cost appointments are often available sooner.
What is the difference between a psychologist and a counsellor?
Registered psychologists complete a minimum 6-year accredited training pathway (including supervised practice) and are registered with AHPRA. They are qualified to assess and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
How long will I need to attend sessions?
This depends on your goals and presenting concerns. Some clients achieve their goals in 6–12 sessions; others benefit from longer-term support. Your psychologist will regularly review your progress.
