What Is WorkCover Psychology Funding?

WorkCover (administered by WorkSafe Victoria) provides compensation and treatment funding for workers injured in the course of their employment. Psychological treatment is covered when your workplace injury has caused or contributed to a psychological condition, or when you need psychological support to manage a physical injury.

WorkCover at a glance:

  • No out-of-pocket cost for approved treatment
  • GP referral required to a WorkSafe-registered provider
  • Covers psychological and psychiatric injuries
  • Available in-clinic and via Telehealth
  • Treatment must be reasonable and necessary
  • WorkSafe must accept your claim before treatment is funded
