A Provisional Psychologist has completed an accredited undergraduate psychology degree and is now in the final supervised stage of their professional training — either a postgraduate degree or a Board-approved internship (the 5+1 pathway) — as required by the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Every session is backed by regular clinical supervision from an experienced, fully registered Board-Approved Supervisor. This ensures the quality and safety of your care — at a more accessible price point.

TAC clients are welcome. Please contact us to confirm before your first appointment.
Book directly with no GP referral required. Fees are lower than Registered or Clinical Psychologists. See current rates →
Note: Provisional Psychologists are not eligible to provide Medicare-rebated sessions, WorkCover or DVA. If you need these funding types, a Registered or Clinical Psychologist is the right fit.

A Registered Psychologist has completed all training and holds full AHPRA registration — they practise independently and are eligible for Medicare, WorkCover, TAC and other funding. A Provisional Psychologist is in the final supervised stage of training. Both use evidence-based approaches; the key differences are funding eligibility and the supervision requirement.
Our Provisional Psychologists are ready to help — quality care, lower fees, shorter wait times.
