I am an experienced mental health practitioner (+15 years) and have worked with a diverse range of populations and age groups. Through the course of my paid and unpaid work, I built particular expertise in cultural sensitive and gender-affirming, psychotherapeutic and sexological care for LGBTQ+ people, people living with hiv, and persons who were forced to flee their country (including non-accompanied minors).
Family systems psychotherapy, narrative and existential therapy inform the work I do. As a systems therapist, I have experience working with couples and families. This includes couples and/or families who fall outside cisheteronormative frameworks, and assisting family members in navigating gender transitions.
My guiding principle is (trying) to centre people as the experts of their lives. This means I collaboratively invite you in the creation of a therapeutic context that allows you to (re)connect with what is important to you and the goals you may have. In doing so, my hope is that our conversations assist you in process(es) of meaning-making that feels supportive and healing to you.
