Leonie is a Registered Psychologist who studied Community Psychology at Victoria University, here in Melbourne.
Leonie’s practice embraces Community Psychology values which seek to understand the social, cultural and ecological factors that contribute to stress, distress and trauma. Community psychology values respect for cultural and human diversity and facilitate individual, family and community empowerment and participation.
Leonie has provided mental health and well-being support to individuals across the life span, groups, older people and people experiencing housing distress.
Leonie is qualified in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She also incorporates narrative and art therapies, along with solution-focused, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches tailored to each person’s needs.
Education
Leonie is currently not working with clients under the age of 18 years.
Leonie is available for in-person appointments at Reservoir office as well as Telehealth.
