Krisha Mindanao

Provisional Psychologist at Melbourne CBD

"Every person's story matters—and I want to help yours unfold."

I made a big shift eight years ago when I left my career as a chef to follow my passion for psychology. Originally from the Philippines, I’ve called Melbourne home for almost a decade, and I’m grateful to now offer therapy in Tagalog for clients who prefer that.

I’ve always been fascinated by how our lived experiences shape who we are—and why I became a psychologist. During my placement at Victoria Uni, I worked with people across all ages, from kids as young as five through to adults. Before that, I spent two years as a behaviour therapist in early intervention, supporting children in schools, centres, and at home. Now I’m a kindergarten aide, which keeps me connected to little people and their big feelings.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, including NDIS clients. My approach draws on CBT and mindfulness, but mostly I listen. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation—where you feel safe enough to be yourself, whether that’s a worried child or an adult navigating life’s challenges. In sessions with me, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and no judgment. Just someone genuinely interested in your story.

I work Monday, Tuesday and Friday in the CBD and offer telehealth. Book via 1300224665.
