Dimitri has worked as a private practice clinician over several years, as well as, a school psychologist, telephone counselling for high risk and vulnerable people, psychological assessment, counselling support for Victims of Crime (via VOCAT), Transport Accident Commission clients (TAC), Workcover clients and for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) along with previous experience in the provision of psychological support in prison settings.
In therapy, Dimitri provides counselling support by drawing upon various theoretical approaches and utilising a number of psychological techniques, assessments and evidence-based treatments with clients, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema therapy. Attachment work, Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Approaches, Client-Centered Framework, Exposure-Response Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Approaches, Social Skills Training and Trauma Focussed Support.
Dimitri is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)- Registration number PSY0001684002; registered as a Medicare Service Provider and is also qualified to meet Worksafe, DVA, NDIS and TAC clients.
