Yvonne is a Forensic Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). Yvonne has a passion for working within the family violence field and forensic disability. She has more than 10 years of experience working in both of these areas, having worked with government organisations such as the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and the Department of Justice and Regulation as well are non-government entities.
She has experience working with both adults and adolescents and can work with a range of needs. This includes:
- (Complex) trauma/abuse experiences
- Behavioural Difficulties (both with and without contact with justice systems)
- Domestic and Family Violence
- Cognitive Impairment
- Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
- AOD
- Relationship Difficulties
Yvonne practices Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Yvonne adopts a strength-based approach to develop a strong therapeutic alliance in order to support clients to achieve positive outcomes.
