Tony is a success counsellor, committed to enabling his clients to create effective, lasting, positive change in their lives. As a more senior therapist, Tony brings to his clients not only his obvious personal care and compassion but also a wealth of wisdom from both his professional expertise but also from his own deep life experiences, to inspire clients to discover more joy, health and life happiness. Tony works with a broad range of presenting concerns, including clients navigating mental health challenges (eg anxiety & depression), relationship conflict & separation, grief & loss, life-threatening illness, workplace conflict, and even infertility challenges, as well as clients forging new life directions and career plans.

Tony is very well qualified. He has been a registered psychologist for more than 35 years, is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Tony graduated an MBA from Monash University in 2004, following which he then lectured MBA and other Post-Graduate students at Monash University for more than 8 years.

Tony provides psychotherapy tailored to client concerns, is trained in a wide variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Couples Therapy, and Contextual Modular Therapy, from which he has developed his own unique positive psychology solutions focus.

Tony is passionate in helping clients build resilience, and to remove the harmful effects of their concerns on both their health and life happiness, and he is passionate in helping clients rebound from distressing life setbacks to create better lives – the focus of his book Bouncing Back with Changes.

Tony is registered with TAC, NDIS and Workcover.

Tony is available at The Talk Shop’s Brandon Park office, and also online (video and phone). Tony makes available some bulk-billed sessions for his individual clients who are currently experiencing financial hardship.
