Steven Booker is a Psychologist who helps people cope with the challenges we all face in life from time to time, as well as more serious psychological issues. He emphasises developing a good connection with you and supporting you without judgement or criticism. Steven takes a positive problem-solving approach based on your strengths. He will help you view situations objectively, challenge unrealistic thinking, and improve the situation while accepting what you can’t change. Steven has been a Psychologist for more than 15 years and has experience helping a wide range of people from all walks of life cope with personal challenges and psychological issues, including job loss/redundancy, anxiety, depression, men’s issues, low self-esteem, anger management, relationship stress/breakdown, difficult communication, lack of assertiveness, stress and coping with uncertainty. Steven’s experience is with adult clients and he does not provide counselling to people under 18 years of age. Steven’s main techniques are mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, building resilience and relaxation skills, but each person is unique and he adapts his approach to your needs. Steven has a Masters Degree in Psychology from Sydney University and is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
