Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
Sally-Anne Connell is a Registered Psychologist with a decade of experience within respected organisations. She understands the importance of empathy in building a good working alliance with her clients and is flexible and down-to-earth in the way that she works. She has a Bachelor of Psychology and is a member of the APS. She specialises in dual diagnosis which is the condition of suffering from a mental illness and a comorbid substance abuse problem. With a dual diagnosis psychologist, a client is able to be treated for two or more disorders at one convenient location.
Throughout her past workplaces, Sally-Anne has provided support, education and treatment to clients with a range of disorders including substance-abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Panic, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Trauma, Gambling Problems and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Her passion also includes assisting people to increase their assertiveness and social skills and to find life direction and a greater purpose.
Sally-Anne is competent in a number of evidence-based therapies/approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.
