Nicholas is a registered Psychologist that is eligible for endorsement in counselling. Nicholas has completed a Masters in Psychology (Counselling) at Monash University, Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Deakin University and a Bachelor of Arts (Double major of Psychology and Criminology). He also has completed a Course in Telephone Counselling (Male Family Violence) through Swinburne University.

Nicholas has worked in a number of different settings from private practice, university counselling services, not for profit organisations and government settings. Nicholas primarily works with adults with various presentations including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, substance abuse, relationship and interpersonal issues, workplace stress, life adjustment, perfectionism and anger management. Nick has a special interest in working with victims of family/domestic violence. Nicholas also has some working knowledge of Chinese culture and the Mandarin language, however he will not be able to conduct sessions in Mandarin.

Nicholas utilises an eclectic approach incorporating a number of different therapeutic techniques and frameworks depending on the needs and goals of the client. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic frameworks, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Nicholas endeavours to provide a warm, non-judgmental and sensitive environment to ensure a strong therapeutic relationship. He is a person-centred Psychologist who collaborates with the clients to ensure their goals are met to their fullest potential. .

Nick is available at the Melbourne CBD office on Mondays.
