Margarita is a registered psychologist who provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for clients to talk about their personal concerns, thoughts and feelings. She adopts a tailored approach to therapy focused upon understanding the unique treatment needs of each client. She works collaboratively with clients to identify their needs and therapeutic goals. She is passionate about assisting people to explore, reflect on, and overcome difficulties along with empowering them to discover new self-insight making life-transforming change.
She uses evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interview (MI), Narrative Therapy (NT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Margarita has experience working with children and adults from diverse backgrounds in a variety of sectors. She has a keen interest in the mental health of migrants and international students, their response to challenges and opportunities present in life. Additionally, she is experienced in working with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and/or those who identify as gender diverse or neutral.
Margarita works on a range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment issues/transitions, stress management, relationship difficulties, interpersonal difficulties and low self-esteem.
Margarita is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
