Luke’s goal is to provide clients with a supportive, non-judgmental and welcoming space in which they can work together. It can sometimes be a difficult decision to reach out for support but, collaboratively, he believes that we can explore and develop a better understanding of the difficulties we’re facing, and establish helpful strategies in a safe, supportive way that is evidence-based and tailored to your individual needs. Luke is experienced and particularly interested in working with young adults, providing support for alcohol- and other drug-related problems, relationship issues, men’s health, depression, anxiety and trauma. He is passionate about helping others explore, and get to the bottom of why their emotional and psychological wellbeing is challenged in a way that is specific to their needs, and culturally appropriate.
Luke completed a Master of Professional Psychology in 2020, and completed my internship in private practice working predominantly with adolescents and new parents. He tends to use an integrated approach to therapy that incorporates mindfulness, ACT and CBT. However, the approach to therapy depends on the client, as well as the therapist, preferences and appropriateness. Luke looks forward to meeting you!
