Latisha Forbes is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Latisha received a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hon, Class II, Division I) from the University of Wollongong. She is currently expanding her skillset with a Master of Clinical Psychology from Charles Sturt University, Bathurst.
Latisha has experience in the non-government and private sectors working with culturally diverse communities in rural and remote towns within South-Western New South Wales, as well as children, adolescents and families from Sydney’s Inner West and beyond. Latisha has recently supported women in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne with fertility issues, pregnancy and neonatal grief or loss, adjustment to parenthood, and associated relationship difficulties.
Latisha utilises evidence-based psychological interventions in a creative and respectful manner, aimed at supporting individuals to find a shared understanding and work towards positive change.
Latisha can provide support and counselling to clients that present with a range of concerns including:
- issues with self-esteem and identity
- adjustment difficulties
- behavioural problems
- school refusal
- challenging parent issues
- work-related stress
- developmental disorders, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum disorder
