Making high quality mental healthcare accessible for everyone

Dr Karl Bartl

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years’ experience working with adults who experience a wide range of mental health concerns, including:

  • anxiety and depression
  • self-esteem and confidence issues
  • relationships and family of origin issues
  • grief and loss
  • trauma, abuse and adjustment issues
  • anger and stress management
  • ADHD and neurocognitive disorders

Through continuing professional development, my commitment is to provide you with the greatest opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to improve your sense of well-being.

Knowing the importance of having a proper understanding of each person’s unique circumstances, my first focus is truly listening to develop a full appreciation for your situation, life experience, age, gender, culture, beliefs and identity. Then, after understanding your unique needs and circumstances, offering a safe and confidential space to explore options and develop practical strategies. My aim is to empower you to solve problems, make changes and improve your happiness.

Due to training in a wide range of therapies, my approach draws upon evidence-based principles from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Psychoanalytic Therapies.

Telehealth makes mental health care more accessible and reduces the stressors people feel around attending therapy sessions. For these reasons, I am currently available for telehealth consultations only.

If you feel I’m a good fit for you, please call reception on 1300 224 665 to book an appointment.
