Hilary is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Registration Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). Hilary has worked in both public and private settings with children, adolescents and adults, and has a special interest and expertise in working with clients who have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.
Hilary practices from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and intersectional feminist framework, and is LGBTIAQ+ affirmative and informed. Hilary places a strong emphasis on building rapport with her clients, collaboratively developing a tailored treatment plan that draws on their strengths and is centred on their goals. Hilary aims to empower her clients by assisting them to strengthen their relationships and develop adaptive ways of coping that extend beyond the therapy room.
Hilary works with adolescents (aged 15+), young adults and adults managing individual and relationship issues related to anxiety, depression, stress and life transitions, Borderline Personality Disorder, identity and sense of self, and parenting.
Hilary utilises evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).
