Elisa Broadhurst is a registered psychologist with a Masters degree in Psychology (Forensic). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Elisa is experienced in providing individual treatment, facilitating group-based programs and conducting psychological assessment (including report writing) in community and correctional/forensic settings. Elisa has worked with children, adolescents and adults who present to therapy for a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, substance use issues, adjustment difficulties, stress management, anger management, motivational problems, offending behaviour, personality disorder, and interpersonal difficulties.
Elisa’s practice centres on providing an open and non-judgmental therapeutic space so that clients feel safe to disclose personal issues and difficult experiences. Elisa is a client-centred therapist who works collaboratively with individuals to assist them to achieve their goals for therapy. She utilises a holistic approach and draws upon evidence-based treatment and theory to ensure that the therapy is suited to the client’s specific needs. Elisa strives to reinforce the client’s strengths and increase self-awareness and skills, and considers that progress in therapy is often achieved through the development of a strong therapeutic relationship.
Elisa is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Braeside office.
