Elin is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She completed her qualifications at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She has experience working in private practice conducting both therapy and cognitive assessments with a diverse range of clients. In addition, Elin has a Bachelor in Health and Sport Science, which has provided Elin with a holistic approach to psychotherapy.

As a therapist, Elin strives to create a warm and collaborative environment. Elin believes that the therapeutic relationship is paramount for positive therapy outcomes. In addition, Elin understands that each client is unique. She takes pride in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment plans accordingly. She is passionate about assisting clients in finding their way to a better mental state.

Elin has a special interest in working with adults experiencing trauma disorders (PTSD, complex-PTSD, and attachment trauma) through EMDR therapy. Trauma can be expressed in many unexpected ways, including relationship difficulties, isolation and loneliness, poor self-esteem, difficulties with trust or being overly trusting, lacking stability in life, feelings of disconnection from self and/or the world around you, poor motivation, perfectionism, emotional confusion, and emotional dysregulation. If you experience some of these symptoms, Elin might be a good fit for you.

Elin also sees adults with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD, ASD, and ADHD. Furthermore, Elin conducts assessments for ASD and ADHD. Elin’s therapy approach is mainly informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness.

Elin speaks both fluent English and Swedish and can provide therapy in the client’s preferred language.

Elin is available for TeleHealth appointments only, and accepts clients under WorkCover, TAC, NDIS, and Private funding.
