Dina is a registered psychologist with experience in working with a range of different clients and presentations, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, and trauma in adolescents and adults. She has also worked with children using play therapy to create change in behavioural and social issues.
Dina focuses on developing a strong relationship with clients, by providing a warm space in the counselling room, and believes that acceptance and empathy are vital in building emotional resilience. Dina is passionate about working in particular with adolescents who are struggling with eating issues, self-harming, interpersonal difficulties and issues at school.
Dina also aims to find the right intervention for the client, considering history, current difficulties, and what the client would like to see change to meet future goals. She uses a range of different interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Relational Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy, and trauma-focused interventions such as Somatic Psychotherapy.
Dina is available at the Mooroolbark office.
