Delusha Jayawardena

Delusha is a Provisional Psychologist who also has nearly five years of experience in the field of clinical audiology where she worked in Hobart and Shepparton with people of all ages and backgrounds who experienced hearing loss and hearing-related disorders.

Delusha is warm, and empathetic, and believes in providing a safe space above all. She provides therapy for a range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, low self-esteem, ADHD, and autism.

Delusha incorporates a range of evidence-based interventions into her therapeutic approach, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy.

Delusha is continually learning about culturally informed, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirmative therapeutic practices. Delusha is particularly passionate about mental health issues faced by members of culturally diverse populations. Delusha comes from a Sri Lankan background and she also understands Sinhala and French.

Delusha is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

BSc (Neuroscience), Master of Clinical Audiology, Grad Dip Psych, Grad Dip Professional Psych, Master of Professional Psych
