Catherine is a Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Catherine is experienced in working with a diverse range of young people and adults in a variety of sectors including university, private, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
Catherine has a keen interest and experience in working with a range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), emotion regulation, communication, stress, and interpersonal concerns. Other interests include working with women experiencing mental health difficulties during and after pregnancy to adjust to the challenges of parenthood. Catherine also has an extensive background in supporting individuals and their families who have experienced physical and psychological trauma as a consequence of a motor vehicle accident or workplace incident.
Catherine enjoys working collaboratively with clients using a strength and value-based approach. She draws on evidence-based psychological methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients achieve their goals whilst taking care to respect and respond flexibly to each client’s individual needs and preferences.
