Briellen Beard

Briellen is a Provisionally registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds an associate membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Briellen holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of Adelaide where she graduated with honours. Briellen’s professional background includes working with people with varying presenting problems accessing services both privately and under schemes such as the NDIS.

Briellen has worked as a counsellor in the early intervention space, in school settings, and with adolescents and adults. Briellen has received specialised training in behavioural intervention and can support individuals and their families with challenging behaviour. Briellen is a leadership coach and works with managers and executives to develop their interpersonal skills and individual leadership styles.

Briellen is focused on creating trustful therapeutic relationships and taking a collaborative approach to care. Briellen has an interest in holistic and health psychology and provides evidence-based treatments that encompass the whole person. Briellen is solution-focused and takes pride in working with people to find their own workable strategies and fosters growth towards a happier and healthier life.

Briellen draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
