Ami-Sheree Laffy

Ami is a provisional psychologist, who is currently completing her Masters of Psychology (Clinical). Ami has completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) (Honours) at RMIT University. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Ami has previously worked with individuals across the lifespan and has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience in the public and private health sector, working with individuals from diverse groups and disadvantaged backgrounds. She can provide support and counselling to youth and adults presenting with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, adjustment issues, self-esteem, and behavioural and emotional regulation difficulties.

Ami is passionate about supporting individuals who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health. She brings a warm, empathetic, and person-centred approach to therapy, with a focus on building a safe and collaborative space for clients. She uses evidence-based approaches when working with clients, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
