Aileen is a psychologist who thrives on working with children and adolescents, as well as adults. She graduated overseas in 2010. Aileen is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and holds registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) since 2017.
In addition to private practice, she has worked in a range of clinical, educational and counselling settings, such as mental health services, correctional facilities and schools. She uses evidence-based treatments, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. Aileen is experienced in diverse client presentations such as anxiety, depression, addiction and trauma.
Passionate about supporting and developing others, she is a strong believer that great outcomes are possible for all clients and that the chances of positive change in children and young people are much higher when able to engage and work with their families also.
Aileen comes from a South American background and would welcome clients who may be more comfortable conversing in Spanish.
